Parking Options at the Ilikai Resort
Great Parking Options for Ilikai Guests
Lagoon Parking: Just a 1 minute walk from the resort on the ocean side, there are numbered parking stalls that you can use for $8 a day. The rates here seem to change all the time, currently that rate is
if you park there before 6pm. Make sure to park in the numbered stalls and purchase your ticket from the machine at the entrance to the lot. You can park free on the left side during the day, but there is no parking after 10:30pm in the free parking area.
Ilikai Marina Parking: Just next door there is self parking at the the Ilikai Marina covered parking lot, rate there is $17 a day.
Ilikai Resort Valet Parking: Valet parking is available 24/7 and it has been announced the daily rate is only $18 a day, that is teh best price for any oceanfront resort in Waikiki. Please check the rate on arrival.
Long Term Parking: If you wish to rent an underground parking stall for 1 month, the rate is $225 a month plus a $15 security card refundable deposit and an activation charge of $15. Make sure upon arrival you ask for the paperwork and application and tell them that you want a monthly stall and the first day or so will be included as monthly use, otherwise its $25 a day till they know you are renting a long term stall.
Do You Need A Car in Waikiki?
You DO NOT need a car in Waikiki. Everything in Waikiki is within walking distance. There is little parking in Waikiki, and what parking there is, is very
expensive. We recommend that all visitors rent a car for just 1-2 days after arriving to drive around the island but 80% of your time will be
walking around and enjoying Waikiki.
It is recommended that you book online rather than walking up to the counter in Hawaii to rent a car. You will save around 30%. There is a Alamo Car Rental office right across the street by McDonalds.
Did you know to walk from one end of Waikiki Beach to the other end is just a 20 minute walk? That is it.
From the airport, you can take a Waikiki Hotel Shuttle Bus for just $15 round trip per person or appx. $35 by taxi to the Ilikai Resort.
The bus leaves every 20-45 minutes and takes 20 minutes to the resort which is the second or third stop.
Visiting locations on this side of the island is a snap without a car. There are tons of companies that service the whole area
with super inexpensive shuttle bus service. For example, for just $11 round trip, they pick you up at the front door and take you to
Hanama Bay, includes snorkel, mask and fins. Same price to the huge flea market at Aloha Stadium. Pearl Harbour is also appx. $12 round trip
with shuttle bus and you get inside info from the drivers.
